Ignacio "Nacho" Mesa

He lived in Silver City, NM in his early life. He served in the United States Navy and, subsequently, in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.

He settled in Corpus Christi and retired from the Regional Transit Authority after 32 years of service.

Nacho was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather.

His wife, Dora, was the love of his life. They were married for 62 years. Nacho was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Aurora; George; Gregorio; Eduardo; and Rudolfo.

He is survived by his wife Dora and children Dell Rennie; Diana (Richard) Sackin; Candy (David) Eller and Alfred (Kim) Mesa. He had five grandchildren Kim Ramirez; Carla Baron; Ryan Salinas; Erika Sackin and Katelyn Bernal. He had seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Eller, Richard Sackin, Ruben Mesa, Ryan Salinas, Reymundo Mesa and Paul Nguyen.

Viewing and memorial services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church followed by burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
