Hilaria “LaLa” DeLeon was born on September 9, 1945 and went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2022. She was born in La Capilla de Guadalupe Jalisco, Mexico and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1961. She was passionate about her work as a Certified Nurses Aid. She loved to travel throughout the United States and Mexico to visit family and friends. She was an avid animal lover, especially to her African Grey Parrot “Sambo” and her little dog “Buddy”.
LaLa is survived by her sons, Mr. & Mrs. Jose & Ariel Montalvo and Mr. Jose Orta & Ms. Lydia Orta; her beloved brother, Mr. & Mrs. Jesus & Concepcion Valenzuela; and her sister-in-law, Margarita DeLeon. She has several nieces and nephews, including Mr. & Mrs. Cristina & Miguel Briseno and 2 sons, Victor and Luis Briseno, Liza Valenzuela, Mr. & Mrs. Claudia & Israel DeLeon-Rosas & family, Eduardo and Miguel Deleon. Her long life friends Petra Rodriguez and Maria Soliz. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Guadalupe DeLeon. She will be dearly missed by her entire family and friends.
A visitation for Hilaria will be held Monday, December 12, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel - Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A vigil service and rosary will occur Monday, December 12, 2022 at 7:00 PM, 3442 Holly Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Ss Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 S Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
