Gladys Julia Schultz

Gladys one of eight children was born on December 23, 1926 to Frank and Freida Nesloney in a small country home near Pawnee, Tx.

On November 8, 1947 she married Milton Otto “Pete” Schultz of Pawnee, Tx and then settled in Corpus Christi there having two sons, David Lee and Roger Allen Schultz.

Gladys was employed by Coastal States Gas and then retired from Valero Energy in the Gas Measurement Division. She loved all her family and was always willing to guide and help when called on. She enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes out of her huge collection of cook books. In her days past she enjoyed hunting dove and quail, fishing, and water skiing and vacations!

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Freida Nesloney; three brothers, Felix, Edwin, Orville Lee; her husband Pete of 20 years in 1967; and her son David of 60 years in 2009.

She is survived by one brother, Vestine; three sisters, Annie, Elvenia, Mildred; her son, Roger (Lee Ann) Schultz of Kenedy, Tx; daughter in law, Lois Schultz; six grandchildren, Ryan (Debbie) Schultz, Kimberly Schultz, Rodney (Rebecca) Schultz, Pamela (Greg) Swartz, Renae (Jarrett) Reyes, Bryan (Patty) Dillon; and nine great grandchildren, Cameron, Hayden, Landon, Matthew Schultz, Blake and Garrett Swartz, Zoey and Jaxon Reyes, and Emily Dillon.

A Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be led by Pastor Walter Hill lll at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Schultz, Rodney Schultz, Greg Swartz, Jarrett Reyes, Jason Swartz, Gary Swartz, and Gary Clarke.
