Frederick E. Holder

He was born on March 6, 1921 in Monroe Co., Indiana.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna (Peggie) Holder; his parents, William E. and Gladys Holder of Mathis, Texas and one brother, Rudolph Holder.

Gene retired as a Police Commander with the Corpus Christi Police Department, after 31 years of dedicated service. He was also a member of Independence Masonic Lodge #1337 and Al Amin Shrine.

He leaves behind his family to cherish his memories; sons, Donald E. Holder (Sandra) of Deer Park, Texas and Stephen P. Holder (Elizabeth) of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother, James R. Holder of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Candace Campbell (Dale) of Clear Lake, Texas, Marc L. Holder (Shannon) of Prairieville, Louisiana and Brian Holder (Rene) of The Woodlands, Texas; five great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family would sincerely like to thank the staff of Villa South- Stepping stones Unit, Legacy Hospice and Dr. George Benavidez.
