Fidel J. Perez, Jr. “Fidelito” age 82 was born June 13, 1933 in Concepcion, Texas. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 26, 2015. Fidel was a graduate of Benavides High School Class of 1951, served in the US Army, and retired from CCAD in 1989 at age 56 with 35 years of service. He was also enlisted with the US Navy Seabee Reserves. Fidel enjoyed watching Baseball, Basketball (Spurs), Boxing, Football, and always took pride in his yard work. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Fidel loved music and was a great dancer. He enjoyed his time at the ranch, traveling and camping with family and friends. Most important to him was having faith in God, enforcing family values, respect for one another, and encouragement to succeed in this world, especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Fidel C. and Cecilia Elida Perez and sister, Dolores P. Palacios. He is survived by his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, and wife of 58 years Anita S. Perez; three sons, Adrian (Mary Elia) Perez, Fidel J Perez III, Albert (Erica) Perez and daughter Rosa Ana (Luis Antonio) Villegas; grandchildren, Adrian Orlando Perez, Andrew Randall Perez, Luis A. (Leslie) Villegas Jr., Laura Ana Villegas, Jesus Andres Villegas, John Ryan (Destiny) Perez, Phillip Michael Perez, Amanda Danielle Perez and Madeline Cecilia Perez, Jacob Erin Guajardo. Five great-grandchildren, Christopher, Brody, Rita, Matthew and Jayce. Surviving sisters are Mercedes Yzaguirre, Elda Chapa, Lupita Utley and sister-in-law Zulema (Amado) Morin and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 10:00 am with Entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
