Feliz Puente

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of my Mom, Feliz "Liz" Puente, at the age of 91. Liz was born on the 22nd of September in Gonzales, Texas to Severiano and Carmen Vargas. She mastered, completed and graduated with her High School Equivalency and raised one son with her husband. She was a mentor for countless relatives and friends.

Throughout her life, she loved helping those in need and always had a kind word. She was an active parishioner and member of the choir and a Guadalupana at Holy Family Catholic Church. She loved cooking, reading, playing Solitaire, puzzling and loved spending time with family and friends.

A true loving mother and wife, Liz is survived by her faithful husband of 66 years, Frank; one son, Victor (Lydia); grandchildren, Lucas, Mark and Joseph; sisters,Guadalupe and Carmen; and brother, Severiano, Jr., and many friends and relatives. She was the beacon of love, an absolute prayer warrior and strength for her family, always providing unwavering support and guidance. Liz's gentle, warm smile, generous spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who Knew her.

Sincere gratitude to those who gave generously during this time of sorrow, your thoughtfulness has been a ray of light. Thanks to the staff at Brookdale Senior Living for their compassionate care and concern during my Mom's last days on earth.

A public visitation for Feliz will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 5:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A holy rosary will occur Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 7:00 PM, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A funeral mass will occur Friday, June 14, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2509 Nogales St, Corpus Christi, Texas 78416. An interment will occur Friday, June 14, 2024 at 11:15 AM, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
