Mrs. Elsie "Kippi" Captola Isbell Scott

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Elkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Thorne and Bro. Adam Horton officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Scott was a native of Madison County but had lived most of her life in Colbert County. She was a loving mother who instilled the word of God in her children. She could quote the Bible scripture and verse. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, W.C. Scott.

It’s your Coronation Day at last Mom. We will see you in the morning on yonder shore, your sweet voice lifted high in praises to the Lamb. Remember your promise: “The Eastern Gate”.

Mrs. Scott is survived by daughters, Deborah Foster and husband Marshall, Teresa Gremmel and husband Warren, and Cynthia Joice and husband Herbie; sons, Travis Scott and wife Annie, Darrell Scott, Marty Scott and wife Wannell, Glenn Scott and wife Mary Beth, and Chris Scott and wife Jeanette; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren: sister Delsa Searls; nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Audrey Costello and a sister-in-law, Sue Isbell.

Pallbearers will be Michael Scott, Cody Scott, Jeremy Scott, Matt Scott, Shelby Scott and David Potts. Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Scott and Tyler Scott.
