Pop was born on November 18, 1919 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He proudly served in the U.S. Army (1941-1945), Company A111 Infantry Training Battalion and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska. He was employed at CC Army Depot until his retirement in 1976. He later worked for CCISD as a bus driver.
He enjoyed baseball and served as a coach and umpire at International Little League for many years. He was also a member of the CC Coffee Club and enjoyed many breakfasts at Rosita's Mexican Restaurant.
Pop loved his coffee, pan dulce and most of all, his family. We were blessed to have had Pop for so many years and we will miss his big hugs, kisses, contagious laughter, and his signature hats.
