Doris Batesman Phillips, 72, passed away January 7, 2012. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 37 years Eugene Bateman and her late husband of 3 years Rex Phillips; brothers, Joyce and Leonard Clements. Doris is survived by her loving children; James H. Bateman of Corpus Christi, TX., Carol Ann Pugh of Corpus Christi, TX., Joe H. Bateman of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Rachele Hobbs, Misty Pugh, Lisa Bateman, Brandy Pugh and James Bateman. Eight grandchildren; sister; Mary Ellen Reid; along with numerous other family and friends. Doris was a devoted mother and grandmother and full of life. She was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary in Calallen. Family will receive guest Wednesday, January 11, 2012 from 5-9p.m. Services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will follow immediately at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3837 in Calallen.
