Doris Jean Davenport, age 85, of Corpus Christi, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Doris was born in Ringold, Texas on February 21, 1933. She was married to Cecil Davenport on May 11, 1976. Doris worked as a waitress for Airport Restaurant, Ship Ahoy, and Astor. She had a passion for baking. Doris is survived by daughter, Wanda Walker, Son, Bobby Morgan, Grandson, Jerrelle Attaway, Great Grandson, Jerrell R. Attaway, brother, William Peterson. Preceded in death by husband, Cecil Davenport, brother, Carl Peterson, Father, Carl Peterson, and Mother, Ruth Peterson.
Visitation will be held at Cage-Mills Funeral Chapel on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services to be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Cage-Mills Funeral Chapel, followed by burial at Rose Hill Cemetery at 11:30.
