David Richard Ruth

David Richard Ruth Aged 61, passed away on Sunday, October 21st. He was born on June 5th, 1962, to Robert Richard Ruth, and Jane Mary Ritchey in Louisville Kentucky. He graduated from Manheim Township High School in 1981, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

David worked as a sous chef for several years before joining the Navy in 1982. He enjoyed his time with the Navy, serving aboard the USS Brewton, while stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii as an electronics technician, First Class Petty Officer. He traveled the world before the end of his enlistment in 1988. Following his time in the Navy, David obtained his Associates in Electronic Engineering from Del Mar Junior College in Corpus Christi Texas. He went on to work for various companies such as Raytheon and Parsons before joining the Federal Aviation Administration, and retired in 2022 as the STAARS Systems Specialist.

Some of David's favorite pastimes included playing frisbee golf, spending his leisure time poolside in his home, and enjoying a few drinks after a long day with his friends at the Texan. David will be remembered for his wicked sense of humor, amazing intelligence, and his deep love for his children, grandchildren, and close friends.

He fathered two wonderful children, Elisabeth Lindsay Ruth “Graybill”, Robert Edward Ruth, and three adorable grandchildren, Kiera Graybill, Lilith Graybill, and Arrik Ruth.

David is survived by his sisters, Jennifer Durbin, Donna Ruth, Linda Wetzler; brother, Donald Ruth, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jane Ruth; sisters, Patty Clark, and Louise Jackson.

A Memorial Service for David will be held Friday, November 3, 2023 at 9:30 AM at All Saints Episcopal Church, 3026 South Staples Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78404.
