David Perez

David Perez, 82, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on March 2, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on July 10, 1940. He married the love of his life, Valentina Masias on August 31, 1974.

David followed his father’s trade of auto-body repair, retiring in 2012. He had a passion for fishing and music. He also volunteered as a foster-grandparent at his local public school.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Angel Perez and Petra Salinas Perez; sister-in-law, Margie Perez.

David is survived by his wife, Valentina Masias; children, Lorraine (Todd) Hensley, David Perez, Joseph (Misti) Perez, Petra (Michael) Hatcher, Raquel (Hector) Rios, DeAnna (Kevin) Perez; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grand-children. He will be missed by his 5 siblings, Joel Perez, Abraham Perez, Angel (Maria) Perez, Danny (Edward Lopez) Perez and Rosie (Candace) McClaran.

He is also survived by his childhood friend and life-long fishing buddy, Larry (Collette) Suarez.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM with Eulogy at 7:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 2:00 PM with burial to follow.
