CeLinda Rae Garza

CeLinda Rae Garza, 34, beloved daughter, sister, niece, and mother died unexpectedly May 29, 2021 at home. She was born April 26, 1987, in Corpus Christi, the daughter of Israel A Garza, Jr. and Gloria A (Suarez) Soliz.

Celinda graduated from Robstown High School, Class of 2005. Her willingness to be there and comfort people led her to the field of nursing where she later received her CNA license. Although she was never married, she found great comfort in the father of her fourth child (John Christopher). She loved music, singing, and dancing. You knew she was in the room by her laugh. It was infectious, loud at times, but her zest for life was something that just could not be contained.

Surviving in addition to her biological parents, is her stepmother, Alma R (Gutierrez) Garza, and her step-father, George Soliz; grandmother, Maria A Garza; aunts, Brenda (Suarez) Zaragoza with husband Jerry and Santa (Garza) Salazar with deceased husband Antonio; her daughters, Trinity Contreras and Serenity Contreras; sons, Robert Contreras and Christopher Anzaldua; one brother, Israel Garza, III; two sisters, Feliza (Garza) Byrne and Cyrenna Garza; half-sisters, Leanna (Gutierrez) Gonzales, Yvonne (Gutierrez) Farrell, and Karra Garza; stepsiblings, Victoria Soliz, Jacob Mirabal, Elizabeth (Mirabal) Hernandez, and Michelle Mirabal; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 5:00 PM with Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas with burial to follow at Robstown Memorial Park.
