Celia S Villarreal

Celia “Sally” Villarreal, 85, adored wife, mother, Momo, aunt, went to be with our Lord on March 2, 2017. She was born August 16th, 1931 in Fort Stockton, TX. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Paz Salazar and Rosa Longoria; her brothers, Ray Salazar, Pete and Francisco Rodriguez and her sister, Elida Torres. Momo enjoyed the little things in life and was often found sitting in her garden where she would often admire her variety of well established, flourishing roses; however, Sally’s green thumb was only one of her many talents and favorite past times. She excelled and loved cooking in the kitchen and was known to draw in many with her traditional dishes. All who knew Momo were fully aware of the unconditional love she had for her children and grandchildren. She was never seen without a smile on her face, open arms, and an always perfect bouffant hair style.

She is survived by her loving husband, of 55 years, Arturo M. Villarreal, from Corpus Christi, TX. She was the beloved mother of two children, Herlinda “Linda” Molina (Raymond) and son, Alexander Saborit of San Francisco, California.

Grandchildren: Patricia Trevino (Robert), Cecil Curiel(Tricia), Esmeralda Galvan (David) of Dallas, TX, Alexandra Saborit of San Diego, CA, and nephew, Fred Salazar (Sylvia) of San Antonio, TX. She had 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening which will be conducted by Guadalupe Trevino and great-granddaughter Lauren Renee Trevino.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 6, 2017 at noon at Holy Family Catholic Church with interment to follow at Rosehill Cemetery at 1:30pm.

Pallbearers include great-grandsons: John Philip Trevino, Xavier Tristan Curiel, Luke Thomas Trevino, Nicholas Sanchez, Edward Felix Sanchez, and Isaiah Salazar. Honorary Pallbearer: Robert Patrick Trevino. Special thanks for condolences and gifts received.
