She was born in Galveston, Texas on August 20, 1938 to Carl and Grace Burmaster.
She married Jimmie Van Goodman on January 25, 1958 in League City, Texas.
Carol graduated from Webster high school in 1956 and began a life long pursuit in education. She graduated with a bachelors degree in education from the university of Houston and later a masters degree Texas A&M corpus christi. She was extremely dedicated to teaching and the quality and improvement of education for generations to come. She retired after 30 years of public education and 5 years of Collegiate Professorship and became a full time grandmother and rancher in 2000 with her husband, and lifelong sweet heart, Jimmie Goodman.
Throughout her life, she was extremely active in organizations such as the daughters of the nile, eastern star, and the Al Amin shrine temple, and supporting Jim with his contributions to the Masonic philanthropy.
Carol was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Clark Goodman, and her parents, Carl and Grace Burmaster.
Carol is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jimmie Van Goodman, Her son Kerry Carlton
Goodman (Simone), Daughter Julie Carol Teat (Jared) ,Daughter-in-law, Joyce Goodman and
her prized grandchildren; Kay Goodman, Grace Goodman, Julia-Anne Teat, Riley Teat, Sophie
Goodman, Jacquelin Teat, and Evie Goodman.
She will be deeply missed.
There will be a viewing between 5:00 - 9:00 pm on Sunday, December 1 at Memory Gardens

Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 2, at 10:00 am, at Memory Gardens with
internment following.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Shriners Burn Hospital in Galveston, Texas.
