Carlos was born in Brownsville, Texas in 1953. He was the son of Martiniano & Otilia V. Rodriguez. He is survived by his mother, Otilia V. Rodriguez, his present wife, Ruby Rodriguez, sister, Josefina (Ruben) Martinez and brothers, Ramiro (Esperanza) Rodriguez and Martin Cifuentes. He is proceded in death by his twin brother, Juan and his brothers, Martin, Ricardo & Oscar Rodriguez and his sisters, Juanita & Maria De Jesus Rodriguez.
He was married to his first wife, Ana Maria (Cisneros) Rodriguez on August 29th, 1970. They celebrated 34 years of marriage before she passed away in 2004. From that marriage, they had four children, Rosalinda Rodriguez, George Wilmot, Esperanza Flores, Cynthia (Adrian) Teniente and Carlos Jr (Dana) Rodriguez. In December 31st, 2016, Carlos eventually remarried his present wife, Ruby Longoria Rodriguez and gained a stepdaughter, Amanda Longoria. Carlos has 10 grandchildren, Michael & Oscar Peralez, Gabriel & Marcos Mireles, Andrew, Auryeona, Alessandra & Adalius Teniente, Jasmyn and Julian Rodriguez, Gary Phelps and two great grandchildren, Aiden Molina, Noah Pantoja and another great grandchild on the way. Carlos also had many nieces and nephews.
Carlos was a long time commercial truck driver for 40 years. There, he met his fellow coworkers and his present wife, Ruby before retiring from Southwestern Motor Transport (SMT) in July of 2018.
Carlos was not a man of many hobbies but he was a collector of many things. Tables and chairs, oh my!! He was a member of Weber Road Church of Christ for numerous years. Carlos was a kind, quiet and simple man who will be missed dearly by his wife, children, family, friends and all that knew him.
Family will received friends on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Funeral Cemetery.
