Bertha Morales Perez, age 89, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Bertha was born May 27, 1932 in Falfurrias, Texas, to Eva Perez and Federico Morales.
Bertha married Natividad L. Perez on July 7, 1950 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a housekeeper and babysitter for many years for various families. Her calling was a caregiver to all. She was devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Bertha was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, always there to take care of her family, and they were the most important vocation to her. Bertha enjoyed baking, cooking, and loved making tamales during the Christmas holidays. She had a passion for playing The Loteria Mexican Bingo and was fond of watching endless episodes of "Walker Texas Ranger" and Little House on the Prairie. She also loved gardening and her favorite flower was Gardenias. She also loved family gatherings especially at the family ranch with her husband and children.
Bertha is survived by her daughter Dalia (Robert) Gonzales; her daughter Delia (Joe) Castillo; her daughter Delma Aguirre; her daughter Norma (Noe) Castillo; her daughter Eva (Trinidad) Castillo; her son Adam Perez; her daughter Elvia (Leo) Rodriguez; her son Natividad Perez, Jr.; her son Lorenzo Perez; and her son Frederico Perez; her sister Ernestina Muniz.
Bertha was preceded in death by her husband Natividad Perez; her daughter Nelia (Gilbert) Garcia, her daughter-in-law Theresa Perez and her son-in-law Chris Aguirre; her father Federico Morales and her mother Eva Perez; her granddaughter Priscilla Gonzales.
Berta also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren to cherish her memories. . .
A visitation for Bertha will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart, 4901 Everhart Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78411 with Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 5830 Williams Drive, Corpus Christi, TX. Interment on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 509 West Travis Street, Falfurrias, TX, 78355.
