Allen Glenn entered into eternal rest on March 21, 2025 at the age of 88. He was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on January 22, 1937, and was a special gift to his family, born as a triplet, though his brothers sadly passed at birth.
Allen dedicated many years of hard work to Gulf Star Refinery, where he was employed until his well-earned retirement in 1997. Even after retirement, he remained active in his community, serving as a security guard and leading his neighborhood watch, ensuring the safety and well-being of those around him. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, Allen never missed a game and took great pride in cheering for his team, whether celebrating their victories or standing by them through tough seasons. Allen had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke to bring a smile to those around him. He loved to share his wisdom and offer advice, always looking out for his family and friends. He also had a passion for barbecuing, and his gatherings were filled with laughter, great food, and cherished moments with loved ones.
He married Claudine Harris on July 16, 1957, in Corpus Christi, Texas and together raised a beautiful family for 67 years.
He will be reunited in heaven with his father, V.D. Glenn; sister Mamie Jean Henry; brothers, Sammy Albert Glenn and Earltine Adams, and mother, Mamie Aldridge Glenn.
His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loving wife, Claudine Glenn; children, Allen Glenn Jr. and Rodney Glenn; grandchildren, Ada Lewis, Terrence DeVones, Nikki Lawson, Vodie DeVones, Ebony Glenn, Jaimaya Glenn, Natalie Glenn, Jaylian Glenn, Matthew Glenn, Ryan Glenn; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends, all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
