Adriana started her career as an ambulance driver in Alice, Texas before moving to Corpus Christi. She worked as a nurse's aide at Osteopathic Hospital. Adriana then graduated from Barber College and worked as a barber for a while. She then worked at Memorial Hospital as a phlebotomist and as a nurse's aide in the ER for many years until her retirement. Adriana was a beautiful and friendly person who was never a stranger to anyone and she always found the good in everyone. She loved spending time with her family and will forever be remembered for her unconditional love for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Adriana will be dearly missed by all who knew her and especially by all who knew her as Band Grandma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Garcia Jr and Eva Garcia, and her sister Maria Elena Perez.
Adriana is survived by her husband Jesus (Jesse) Quiroz, her children Yvonne (Rick) Cantu, Malaquias Adrian (Maggie) Saldivar, Victor Javier (Janet) Saldivar, Dolores (Ezzie) Saldivar; grandson Rick Cantu whom she raised as a son, Anna (Frank) Pizana, Anthony (Marissa) Quiroz;
brothers, Florencio "Lencho" (Eva) Garcia, Manuel Victor (+Carmela) Garcia, Sisters, Esperanza (+Noe) Vella, Rosario (Reynaldo) Ramos, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Adriana will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart, 4901 Everhart Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78411, with Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services on Thursday, October 28, 2021 with Mass at 12:00 p.m. SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 S.P.I.D, followed by interment at 2:00 p.m. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I.H. 37 Access Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78410.
