Adela J. Rogers

Adela J. (Zdansky) Rogers, 83, of Corpus Christi, TX passed away Friday, October 16, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 17, 1930 to Ladik A. Zdansky and Emilie (Skurka) Zdansky. Adela was a very loving, kind hearted person and always had a smile on her face. She was beautiful inside and out. Totally devoted to her family she always put their needs first and never complained.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for 44 years. Her faith and devotion to God was strong and she would pray daily. She also attended daily Mass until she no longer could due to her health.

As a young woman she worked at the Bright Moon Club which was owned by her father and that is where she met her future husband Winfred. Throughout her life she worked various types of jobs and was known as a hard worker. Her last job before retiring was working with her husband in their family owned business. Adela enjoyed sitting around the table visiting with family and friends while drinking coffee. She also enjoyed dancing, listening to music, baking, playing cards, working puzzles playing bingo and watching baseball. We were all blessed to have her in our lives and she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is preceded in death by her father Ladik A. Zdansky and mother Emilie (Skurka) Zdansky. Brother; Frank Zdansky. Sisters; Agnes Buss, Mary "May May" Zdansky, Emily Barton and Christine Martin.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Winfred H. Rogers. Children; Alan Rogers, Diane Rogers, JoAnn (Wayne) Davis, Michael W. Rogers, Judy (Victor) Rodriguez, and Brenda (Steve) Beaupre. Grandchildren; Jason (Jodi) Davis, Jeremy (Maybelle) Davis, Jennifer Davis, Sarah Rodriguez, Stephanie Rodriguez, Douglas Rogers, Alyssa Beaupre and Stephanie Beaupre. She is also survived by her 5 great grandchildren; Julian Padilla, David Cantrell Jr., Joshua Davis, Rose Ashley Davis, and Onna-Alyse Bourque.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 19th, 2014 at Cage Mills Funeral Chapel from 5pm to 7pm with a Rosary to follow .

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
