Suzanne Elizabeth Harris passed away peacefully on April 19, 2021 at her home in Laguna Niguel, CA. She endured a ferocious 16-month battle with cancer which ended her journey in the loving arms of her daughter as she had wished. She was 68 years old.
Suzanne was born in Toronto, Ontario Canada in 1952 as the only daughter to Phyllis and Anthony Mack. She immigrated to the US with her family in 1960 and resided in Silicon Valley where she graduated from Mountain View HS, and later from San Jose State University with a degree in Social Work.
In 1978, Suzanne married Robert Harris, her beloved husband of over 42 years where they lived in the Bay Area and Santa Cruz Mountains until moving to Orange County 15 years ago.
Suzanne was a well-respected and well liked member of the professional community in Orange County and was Vice President of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement at First American Title Insurance in Santa Ana, CA. She continued to work until the very last month of her battle.
Suzanne enjoyed many things in life. An excellent cook, she loved delicious food and Rombauer wine. She travelled the world near and far and Catalina Island held a special place in her heart. She loved spending time with her family and best friends, attending Zumba classes and her grandchildren’s events with her dog Buster always by her side. Watching her husband, Bucky play live music brought great joy to her life. She is described by her friends and family as vibrant, beautiful, intelligent, selfless, and approachable.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her father Anthony Mack, mother Phyllis Lingley and stepfather Robert Lingley. She is survived by her husband Robert (Bucky), daughter Alison, son-in-law Michael, grandchildren, Madeline, Rockwell (Rocky), Summer, and Koa, brothers Paul Mack (Janyce), Peter Mack (Monica), niece Courtney Aquino (Gilbert) and nephew Ryan Mack as well as the Robinson Family in Ontario, Canada.
A Celebration of life for Suzanne will be held at Pacific View Mortuary & Memorial Park in Corona del Mar, CA on Sunday May 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM. A reception to follow will take place at the Harris Family home in Laguna Niguel, CA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Kidney Cancer Research Alliance (KCCure) and Talk About Curing Autism.
