Sachio was born in Japan in 1950. He graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in computer engineering and spent 6 years on the island of Oahu enjoying the sun, sea and plenty of Japanese food. In 1973, he moved to Redondo Beach and bought a house with his brother, Michio. He has lived in that house for 50 years, working as a software engineer at Terradata for over 30 years, and making lifelong friends through his love of fishing and his vegetable garden. He particularly enjoyed fishing for tuna, one of the most challenging fish to catch in the world.
Sach’s friends and family will always remember his meticulous fish cutting skills and the generosity of his gifts of freshly-caught tuna. They will also miss his gardening tips and the harvest of peppers, cucumbers, and tomatoes from his tiny yard.
Most of all, they will miss his relaxed island attitude and his very distinct laughter that came so easily. Aloha Sach! Rest in peace.
