Passed away in peace on Tuesday, Dec 29th, 2015 at Hoag Memorial Hospital at the age of 71. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dianna, their first child, "Baby" Tovatt, and his parents Anthony and Marjorie. He is survived by a very loving family that includes his sons, Robert(Melissa) and Richard(Jude), his brother Bill(Kathy), sisters Patty(Rick) and Susan(Bob), and 5 AMAZING grandchildren, Daniel, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Richard, and Jackson, all of which he loved, and admired greatly. In addition, Mike leaves behind his lifelong friend, new love, and fiancé Suzie, as well as Temre(Russ) and Christi(Todd) which he loved dearly, and saw as children of his own. By all accounts, Mike had a huge heart, and was an amazing dad, husband, and friend to all that had the privilege of being in his life. He enjoyed traveling, smooth jazz, golf, a good bottle of wine, a "unique" sense of humor, rooting for the Broncos, and he so loved his work. While he left us too soon, the memories and impact he had on our lives, will live on forever. Services will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona del Mar on Friday, Jan 22nd at 2pm.
