Born March 12, 1933 in Van Nuys, California and passed away on July 1, 2018 in Corona del Mar, California
Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survived by her husband Ron, daughter Pandora, son Steven, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Graduated from Bakersfield High School and Bakersfield College and was a member of the choir. She attended San Jose State College.
She met her husband Ron in 1954 and was married January 2, 1955. Upon his graduation in 1957 she was awarded a CalTech PhT degree (Putting Husband Through). Besides bearing two wonderful children, she donated much of her time to the Newport Beach Library and the University of California Irvine main library. She was secretary and later Chairman of the Newport Beach Library Board of Trustees and represented Newport Beach at CALTAC (State Library Board). Mary eventually became President of the CALTAC Board of Trustees and served for two years.
On their first date in 1954, Ron took Mary for an airplane ride in a two place Cessna and she liked it! They have been flying together ever since and have owned three different airplanes. They flew on many long trips with a social flying club called Skylarks of Southern California and after each one Mary created a scrapbook 11x17x3 inches thick full of photos, menus, and places visited.
Burial will be at Pacific View Memorial Park at 1 PM this Friday, July 6, 2018
