So sorry to hear about her passing. I tried writing her many times in the pass year with no response. She was always so good at returning correspondences quickly, so I had a feeling she was not doing well. I remember her and Gary in their home overlooking to beaches, and their nice cozy back yard. May you rest in peace my friend. Sadly your friend Dennis.

My condolences on the loss of a real light in this world. Maria was married to my mother’s brother, Ian.   I was the flower girl in their wedding. As a child, I loved visiting their house, and Maria would always have fun things to do whether it would be a dance party in the living room or grocery shopping for much more exotic foods than my wee Scottish mom ever bought. I’ve enjoyed keeping in touch with her over the years and hearing about her many projects.  She often shared news of family she loved so much.

Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. I miss you so much. I have been so blessed and I am so grateful for your friendship and kindness. Our monthly lunches went on for hours as we shared so many wonderful ideas and memories with each other. I’m so very sorry to hear of Maria’s passing. I will miss her heartfelt emails. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She will be missed. 

Maria, my little pea in a pod.  How can it be that your light, grace, humor and class are now silent? 
How we loved to share stories of our Italian heritage ; especially our Mothers.  
You always loved receiving pictures from my family events and you never failed to compliment or to share a story of how a smile came across your face when you viewed them. 
The world has lost a beautiful soul.  Your impeccable taste, your love of family, your great heart....all of them made up this beautiful woman named Maria. 
I will miss our many emails.  I will miss opening your email to see, " Hi, Chelena.  Just checking on you".  I , in turn, did the same with you.
Love you, beautiful Maria.  You enriched my life and gave song to my soul. I pray you are with the Lord and your beloved Gary.

Maria has been instrumental in my 23 year journey as a creative, and gave me a book called "Marry Your Muse" over 20 years ago, that I am rereading now in honor of her.  She always encouraged me in my love of poetry & art. My family was also very fortunate to spend many wonderful Holidays with her. She was a 2nd mother to me, and we were especially close since 2017, when she began to help me in ways that no one else could but her. She was one of the kindest people I have ever known. She taught me to have courage & stand of for myself, in what I call "earth school." She also taught me I can be kind, but not to be a 'dolly doormat' which always made me laugh.  

So sorry to hear about the passing of our dear classmate. She is now out of the pain she has suffered for so long. She was a special friend pwho helped me so much with my wedding in 2011. I will never forget her for that. I will also cherish all the luncheons she put together for a group of our high school women. May God always be there for you. Rest in peace with the Lord. We will never forget you
