Margaret Mary Bone, 73, of Irvine, passed away on February 10, 2011. Born on April 18, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, Margaret is survived by her husband of 42 years, William (Bill); children Stephen and Mary; grandchildren William (Liam), Owen and Devin, and puppy Chance.
Margaret grew up in Dearborn, Michigan and was a gifted student and musician, attending the prestigious Cass Tech High School for music and specializing in Harp, Flute, Piccolo and Piano.
After meeting Bill in Windsor, Ontario, the two decided to marry, move somewhere warm, and start a family. Living in Irvine for the past 35 years, Margaret was involved in the community through the Beta Sigma Phi and Sigma Alpha Iota sororities, as well as volunteering time in the Irvine Unified District as a Teacher’s aide and as an advisor to disadvantaged youth.
Margaret was also an exceptional Mom, spending countless hours as most Mom’s do, shuttling kids to sports, scouts, dance, and anything else they wanted to try. She was the Mom everyone could count on to keep something going when a parent was needed to help out. Margaret always put everyone before herself, and did so with a smile.
Her final days were spent as a fan of ice hockey, anything her grandchildren did (even the naughty stuff), and spending as much time with family as possible.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 18th at 2:30 PM at Pacific View Chapel, with interment to follow at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona del Mar, CA
A reception will be held for the friends and family immediately following the graveside service.
Arrangements under the direction of Pacific View Memorial Park and Mortuary FD1176, Corona Del Mar, CA.
