GRANDMA LAURA 1927-2021
You were not ready for me
But I am so glad God chose you for me.
As I grew and watched you I learned about Jesus And His love so complete.
When you watched as I learned to love reading You quietly placed a genre more pure in my path; To ensure I learned more;
More about the love that would conquer the world.
With a balloon or a treasure you would hide in a drawer To make me feel special on those summer day visits With the plums, plums, oh the plums so galore.
An artisan you were with those plums so galore. Jams, ice cream toppings that taste so divine That never again have I tasted so fine.
I thank you for the prayers all those years
That kept me protected as I journeyed through time; Times of mountains and valleys that were not always kind.
As the years went quickly by and your memory dimmed My thoughts turned to prayers for you to go home.
For you to go home and hear my child well done!
Now we celebrate your life; A life that you lived;
Soaring like eagles with only strength He could give.
You will be missed but you gave us such gifts; Jesus’ love through your glorious gifts.

I will always remember Laura from my visits to stay with Rusty & Darlene in my teens. I was lucky to see her again in 2011. All of the Manzo’s are in my thoughts and prayers during this time. Love you all!
