

Our beloved dad, Fu Liang Cho [卓 甫 良] passed away on May 12, 2021. He was born in 1932 in Hualien, Taiwan, and was the eldest son of five brothers. He left his home-land in October 1956 to pursue an education in America, studying engineering at the University of Michigan. He spent his career working in the Nuclear Power industry which also included working for the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety. In 1961 he married his hometown girlfriend Chiu-Chu Lin (Carol), who he met through his hometown church choir. Later that year he had a daughter Elsa, and three years later Esther, and raised his family in Chicago, IL. He was extremely passionate and committed to the Taiwanese-American community, and was a founder of the Taiwanese American Foundation as well as the Eagle Brotherhood. He was also very involved in the Taiwanese church community and sang in the choir with Carol. He was always positive and a forward thinker, a true visionary. His love for people, compassion and sense of humor was evident in the time he spent with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Carol of 60 years; his daughters and their spouses, Elsa (Lester Fuwa) and Esther (Ken Okajima); his brother, James Cho; six grandchildren, Andrea, Daniel, Carolyn, Deanna, Justine, and William; and his great-granddaughter, Madeline McIntire.
