She was my master teacher in 1973 at Santa Valley HS.  Great lady.  Sorry about her passing.

Elaine,

Of all my high school teachers, you were my favorite.  I'm glad we had time to talk those several times over the past forty years.  I enjoyed our conversations telling you just how much your presence in my life meant at that time of my life.

I wish I'd have called you more often, and so regret not making that phone call over the summer of 2022.  I called you today, March 28, 2023, and heard the disconnect recording.  My heart sunk, knowing what that meant.

You were an amazing lady and the best teacher I've ever had.

RIP, Mrs. Stuckey, and thank you for your kindness and strength.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Stuckey. She was the first teacher in my school career to call my father to share I wasn’t doing my homework properly. I got into so much trouble so I always made sure I got my work done so my dad wouldn’t be upset. 

Then for many years, Elaine and I were colleagues — both of us teaching English at SAVHS. She always remembered the call she made to my dad and took well-deserved credit for contributing to my success. Jump forward 42 years and Elaine showed up at my retirement party. Then a few years ago a number of retired teachers from SAVHS took her out to lunch for her birthday. Oh, what a wonderful day it was! Thank you Mrs. Stuckey for being a wonderful, supportive teacher, mentor, and friend. You were much loved and appreciated. 🙏🏾 ❤️

Mrs. Stuckey was an amazing teacher and a great role model to me. She believed in her students and gave us the freedom to be creative.  Mrs. Stuckey was my favorite teacher. Thank you for touching my life.  God speed.

I remember her from the press club. I’ve uploaded a photo from my 1971 senior yearbook.

I was a member of the Valley High School Talon yearbook staff for the year 1977-1978. I actually wrote the poem that runs through the senior section. Mrs Stuckey was our advisor. We all loved her. We were like family. I remember us going to her house for lunch and yearbook staff meetings. Her daughter was young at the time and we were all like her older siblings. Mrs Stuckey made a positive impact on us and so many other students. She was truly a God-send. She will forever be loved and remembered. Thank you Mrs Stuckey for all you did for us and imparted to us. Rest In Peace sweet angel of God. 

Mrs Stuckey was a great teacher and I also worked with her and her husband with the catering business.  I learned so much.  Thank you for being you!

Mrs Stuckey was a great journalism and yearbook instructor. She shared so much with me about things other than the topics being studied at the school. I remember the one math lesson I got from her and she wasn't even my math teacher. The question was how do you find the center of the rectangle door. I replied that I would measure the length and measure the width and then divide it out. And she replied no Lisa you would draw an X from each corner and where they intersected in the middle that would be the center of the door. That's geometry! I remember that statement and that lesson to this day. Thank you for teaching me Mrs. Stuckey and may your rest in peace. Lisa Pfeffer class of'77

Mrs. Elaine Stuckey was a great teacher and advisor! I’ve always appreciated Mrs. Stuckey introducing our class to Toastmasters, so we’d learn early the importance of being able to stand up and speak in public! RIP! - Kimberly Stansell, SAVHS, Class of 1978

I attended Santa Ana Valley High School, graduating in 1970.  Mrs. Stuckey was my English teacher.  She was stern, meant what she said and I learned ALOT!!  She was also active as the yearbook director.  What a great yearbook it was!  She also attended one of our class reunions and so many were happy to see her and relive old memories.
