Our dearly beloved Edward Thomas was born in Massachusetts on August 30, 1966, a blessing to his parents, Dorothy Conley and the late Edward Francis Conley Jr. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy; his former wife, Brandi; his son Jameson, his daughter, Callee; his two sisters, Elizabeth and Susan; a nephew, Ryan and three nieces, Reese, Alyssa and Samantha; and many dear cousins and friends.
His grade school and high school years were in Holliston and Westford, MA. He graduated from Westford Academy and continued his education earning a BS in Business Administration and Management from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He followed career opportunities and moved to Southern California. He met and married Brandi Lusk and they spent several years in California and then relocated to North Carolina for Ed to take a Sales Executive position with FedEx. He was a dedicated employee of FedEx for over 20 years earning various awards and recognitions. He met challenges with determination, was hard-working and achieved high performance throughout his career.
Ed and Brandi gifted our family their remarkable children, Jameson and Callee. Ed was a fun-loving, supportive and exceptional dad. He cherished time with Jameson and Callee and was always there to cheer them on during their football and lacrosse games. He taught them what he had learned from his dad – the value of family, commitment, loyalty, hard work, good judgment, courage and integrity. He was a “super hero” role model. Ed was so loved and admired by his sisters, Elizabeth and Susan, who have many special memories of their big brother. He was everything you’d expect in a big brother – a protector and defender, partner in crime, and friend for life.
Ed enjoyed many activities, especially the time of play and exercise with his yellow lab, Boomer, who was a true companion for many years in CA and NC. He loved to cook and was a “Grill Master” and his dinners could compete with some of the best chefs. Camping and family trips were big highlights for Ed and many photos capture their fun and excitement. Visits to CA delighted all the family there – his mom, sisters, and brothers-in-law enjoyed every minute they spent with him and his nieces and nephews loved getting showered with attention from their incredible Uncle Ed.
Ed was a living example of authentic Boston Pride. His enthusiasm for the Patriots and Red Sox as well as the Celtics and Bruins was off the charts. He had an incredible collection of team shirts and hats that he wore proudly on and off season.
Ed, you were a special gift to all of us who shared life with you. Your personality, sense of humor and love of life captured the attention of all who knew you. We all miss you so very much and you will live in our hearts forever.
Our dearly beloved Edward Thomas Conley was honored with a memorial service in North Carolina on October 20, 2022. We will remember our Edward Thomas with a Celebration of Life at Pacific View Memorial Park and Mortuary on January 14, 2023.
