Beloved husband of the late Eunice (née Stark) Hutchings and later the late Mary (née Carson) Hutchings.
Loving father of Donna Stables (Don), Linda Bryerton (Stephen) and Monte Yancey. Treasured grandfather of Heather Rumleskie (Anthony) and Ian Stables. Cherished great-grandfather of Dylan, William and Andrew.
Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Hazel (née Saunders) Hutchings and his siblings Saunders Hutchings, Jim Hutchings, Nelson Hutchings (the late Maureen) and Jean Caldwell (the late Donald).
Beloved by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was considered a honorary father and grandfather by many. Bill, or Billy as some called him, was deeply loved and will be missed.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-1039). A Graveside Service will take place on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, Ingleside. A Celebration of Life will be held afterwards at 1:00 pm at the Best Western, Seaway Room (Downstairs), 1515 Vincent Massey Drive, Cornwall.
As expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or St Joseph’s Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
