Thomas "Tom" Johannes Hartholt

Cherished father of John (Jennifer), David and Sandra.

Proud grandfather of Krista (David), Amanda, Jakob, Benjamin, Alicia, Lukas, Thomas, Aidan, Daniel, and Sophie.

Blessed great grandfather of Rémi.

Predeceased by his sister Irene and his brother John. Survived by his siblings, Rika (John), Therese, Olga (Henry), Andrew, Martin, Betty, Dorothy, Barbara (Gus).

Tom served 30 years in the Canadian Armed Forces until he was honourably discharged in 1990. Not suited for retirement, he worked for another 20 years at Benson’s Auto Parts.

Tom loved the long drive and travelled extensively in Canada, USA, and Europe. Throughout his life, he was most happy when he was behind the wheel with his best friend, Renske, navigating the twists and turns. The prairies were his favorite but found joy in all scenic views.

A true Christian and family man, he was a rock to many people throughout his life, helping selflessly and never feeling he was owed anything in return.

He will be missed, remembered, and loved.

Arrangements have been entrusted to M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON.

Celebration of life service will be held at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 2264 Pitt Street, on December 21st, 2024, at 2pm.
