FORTIER, Raymond – (Peacefully), with his family by his side, at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016,. He was 79. Beloved husband of the late Annette (Bedard) Fortier. Dear father of Raymond Jr. (Tammy), David (Wanda) and Ricky (Lucille). Sadly missed by 7 grandchildren, Joey, Julie, Ryan, Jessica, Samantha, Matthew, Benjamin and 6 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, Destiny, Trinity, Brianna and Cody. Survived by his loving companion, Kay Laprade. Also survived by one brother Roger (Jeannine), one sister Patsy and one step brother Rene (Shirley). Predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Marguerite (St. Denis) Fortier, one brother, Adrien and one sister, Betty. To honour Ray’s request, there will be no public visitation. Cremation will take place, followed by a private family memorial service to be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday April 8, 2016. Rite of Committal, Notre Dame Cemetery, at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the ALS Society would be appreciated by the family.
