1941 – 2023
With her family by her side, Mrs. Joan Ruest of Cornwall passed away on October 25, 2023 at Hospice Cornwall. She was 82 years old. Wife of late Alfred Ruest. Dear mother of Alfred James Ruest (Rachelle Givogue-Ruest) of Plattsburg N.Y., Wendy-Lynn Ruest-Hewlitt (Tim Hewlitt) of Massena N.Y. and Wade Glen Ruest (Kelly Landon-Ruest) of Cornwall. Loving grandmother of seven grandchildren, Brooke, Janna, Melissa, Nick, Owen, Jacob and Olivia. Also survived by many brothers and sisters. Dear daughter of the late Evangeline Cooper and the late John Williamson Cooper.
Joan will be missed by many siblings, family and friends.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street, Cornwall (613) 938-1039, across from City Hall. A Service of Remembrance will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 1 pm with the Family greeting visitors at 11 am on that day.
