Gloria Gemmell

GEMMELL, Gloria (Maloney) - Peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Friday November 29, 2013 with her husband and daughters by her side. She was 76. Beloved wife of Victor Proulx. Dear mother of Cindy Butts (Gary Crawford) and Pam Scholey (Scott) and step mother of Douglas Proulx (Roxanne), Karen Leduc (Marc), Kevin Proulx (Bernadette) and Steven Proulx (Linda). Sadly missed by 4 grandchildren, Corey Butts (Kristy McDougall), Aiden, Nicholas and Kiersten Scholey and 7 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren. Gloria is also survived by her 2 brothers Edward Maloney (Harriet) and Daniel Maloney (Elva). Predeceased by her parents Edward and Bethaia (Casey) Maloney. Friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Tuesday from 2 – 4pm and 7 – 9pm. Visitation will also be held in the MacLellan room of St. John’s Presbyterian Church on Wednesday from 10 – 10:45am. Funeral Service, Wednesday December 4, 2013 at St. John’s Presbyterian Church at 11am followed by cremation. Inurnment, St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, at a later date. Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
