Gérald Marion

MARION, Gérald Emile – Peacefully surrounded by family on November 5, 2018, at the age of 92 years. Beloved husband of Anita (née St. Germain) Marion for 72 years. Cherished father of Lynda Greggain (Gilf), Jane McGregor, Carole Marion, Robert Marion (Kathryn) and the late Marlene (1949). Proud Pépère of 8 grandchildren: Julie Walsh (Jason) of Casselman, Donny Greggain, Bryan Greggain (Angel Blanchette), Michael McGregor, Genevieve Page (Darrin) of Calgary, Jeffrey Stinson (Coralee Stinson-Dahl) of Calgary, Richard Marion and Elise Marion of Heidelberg. Great-grandfather of 8 from Cornwall, Casselman and Calgary. Dear brother of Richard Marion (Denise Lavictoire) of Montreal. Sadly predeceased by his parents Emile and Blanche (née Brunet) Marion. Also predeceased by his dear sisters, Lorraine Carrière (Edmond) and Alice Baker. A heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff of the Cornwall Community Hospital, Bayshore Home Health and CAREFOR Cornwall Hospice, especially Dr. Poilly for her support and compassion. Gérald will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family will be in attendance at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN, CORNWALL FUNERAL HOME, EAST BRANCH, 614 First Street East, (613-933-2841) from 9 a.m. until time of Service on Saturday. Funeral will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 for Memorial Mass in Sainte-Thérèse-de-Lisieux Church at 11 a.m. Interment at Nativity Cemetery to be held at a later date.
