The family of Beverly Ann Burgess (nee Wharton) sadly announce that after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease she passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the age of 77 years. After just a few days of his passing, she joins her husband Tom and is now at peace. She will forever be remembered by her daughters Lori (Matt), Julie (Jason) and Danna (Steven), her grandchildren Justin, Larissa, Lauren, Alexia, Dylan, Sabrina and Jake, her sister Sylvia (Gerry) and brother John as well as many other family members and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Tom, and her parents, Arthur and Yvette (nee Schryer).
Born in Lachine, Quebec and raised in Cornwall, Ontario, Bev will always be remembered for her strength and loyalty. She met her husband Tom at a high school dance, and they shared 53 wonderful years together in Montreal, Quebec. She wasn’t easy to get to know but once you did, you had a friend for life. She was a successful entrepreneur and spent many years doing bookkeeping for her businesses. There wasn’t anything that she couldn’t do if she set her mind to it. She was always feisty and kept this spirit even in her later days where she kept the care workers on their toes. Before her illness progressed, she enjoyed traveling to warm and sunny destinations with family and friends or entertaining guests in the backyard of their home. She took such pride in her daughters and grandchildren and was always there to support them.
