Bernard Edward Paquette

PAQUETTE, Bernard- Passed away peacefully, at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Thursday, January 30th, 2020, surrounded by family, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Rita (Marleau). Loving father of Nelson Paquette (Diane), Sharon Watson-Desrosiers (Alfred), Donna Alguire (Richard), Michelle Alguire, Bernice Allard (François). Sadly missed by his grandchildren: Jennifer Lyn, Jason, Joshua, Justin, Nolan, Amanda, Chase, Jesslyn, Sheldon, Chantal, Liane, Josée and 15 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brothers, Clayton (Marion), Hubert, and his sisters, Wilda Myers (Dean), Bertha Carrière (late Aimé) and Martha McLean (Donald); sister-in-law, Ramona and brother-in-law, Leonard (Antonine). Bernard will be fondly remembered by his close friend, Lucienne Beauregard and former son-in-law, Kevin Alguire. Predeceased by his parents, Cyril and Veronica (Lalonde), his grandson, Cory Paquette; his brothers, Lawrence (Freda), Ernest, Cyril (Cathy), Nelson, his sister Gertrude Myers (late Ford). Family and friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Thursday February 13th from 9am-10:30am followed by a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church at 11am. Rite of Committal at Notre Dame Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
