Shellie Hancock

A Celebration of Life Service for Shellie Scott Driskell Hancock, 88, is set for 1:00 pm Wednesday at Fraley’s Chapel Church of Christ with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 to service time at the church.

Shellie died February 11, 2024 at her residence. She was born October 13, 1935 in Itawamba Co. MS to the late Johnny and Ophelia Burrow Scott. She was a member of Fraley’s Chapel for the past 56 years. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, working in her flowerbeds and spending time with her family and especially her church family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harley T. Driskell; second husband, William E. Hancock; son, Marshall Driskell; daughter, Yvonne Wilson; grandson, Jason Driskell; parents; brothers, O’Neal Scott and Wayne Scott; and sisters, Bernice McMicking and Vernell Tompkins.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Pace, Tommy Driskell, Kelvin Hancock, Danny Hancock; grandchildren, Natasha Harris (Shandon), Nathan Pace (Jocelyn), Clay Wilson, Tambrie Wrotham (Jeff), Amanda Wrotham (Kyle), Kenny Hancock (Donna), and Jennifer Vargason; great grandchildren, Noah, Maddie Paxton, Carter, Camp, Link, Liliana, Gracelynn, Ryder, Mackenzie, Jordan, Faith, Loxleigh; great great grandchild, Paxton; brother, Athel Scott; sister, Bettye Scott; and a host of other family.
