Joan Hudson

A Celebration of Life Service for Alfreda “Joan” Hudson, 78, is set for 2:00 pm Thursday, February 17, 2022 at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors with Bro. Ed Kennedy and Bro. Rayburn Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 and Thursday from 1:00 to service time at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors.

Joan died February 14, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born November 28, 1943 in Alcorn Co. MS to the late William Alfred and Ruby Nash. She was a long time member of New Liberty Baptist, where she taught her adult Sunday school class, sang in the choir and helped with VBS. She was retired from ITT. Joan enjoyed working puzzles and coloring, but most of all spending time with her family and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Neil Hudson; parents; and brother, Bill Nash.

She is survived by her son, Brian Hudson (Beth); daughter, Phyllis Murphy (Todd); grandchildren, Matt Murphy, Meredith Murphy, Brooke Hudson and Brady Hudson; a great granddaughter, Josie; sisters, Linda Parker, Nelda Parker, Shirley Woodruff and Jane Hudson; brother, Tim Nash; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Matt Murphy, Brady Hudson, Jerod Bronson, Mike Nash, Mike Johnson, and Greg Adams.
