Funeral services with Military Honors for Charles Arnold Null, 80, of Corinth are set for 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Warren Jones and Bro. John Boler officiating. Burial will be in the Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Null died on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Alcorn County on March 20, 1930 to the late Alec and Ethel Killough Null. He served his country in the U.S. Army by fighting in the Korean War. He received the Korean Service Medal with one bronze star and the UN Service Medal. Mr. Null was a member of the American Legion for over 20 years, retired from Pittman Brothers LP after 50+ years of service, loved to make crafts from wood, farmed, and was a big John Wayne fan.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Beatrice Newcomb; and one brother, Michael Null.
Mr. Null is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Ann Deaton Null; three daughters, Lynn Null, Myra Studdard and husband Bobby all of Corinth, and Anita Tucker and husband Randy of Adamsville, TN; one son, Anthony Null of Corinth; two sisters, Imojean Dillingham and husband Don, and Mary Ruth Tyson and husband Noel; six brothers, Aaron Null and wife Joretta, Hershell Null and wife Mary, Jimmy Null and wife Daphne, Jerry Null and wife Millie, and Harold Null; nine grandchildren, Cassandra, Kevin, Jennifer and husband John, Jeremy, Wesley and wife MaShell, Monica and husband Jerry, Logan, Cory, and Mallory and husband James; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 14th from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. and from 11:00 A.M. till service time on Thursday.
