Joseph Paul D'Alessandro

D’Alessandro, Joseph Paul, 83, of Coral Springs passed from this life September 19, 2015. Joe was born September 23, 1931 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Anthony and Angela (Maranghi) D’Alessandro. He was a graduate of Central High School and Seton Hall University. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He loved the challenge of the restaurant business. Joe and his family moved to Coral Springs in 1979 and opened the Coral Café. He enjoyed music, flowers, keeping the yard trimmed, the Miami Marlins and dinner and a good pinochle game with friends. His family was the most important part of his life. He was predeceased by his daughter, Donna Contrera and grandson Christopher Connolly. Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Marie, of 58 years, daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Michael Martin, granddaughter, Gina (Travis) Rogean, grandson, Joseph Caraccioli, son-in-law, Anthony Contrera, sisters, Mary (Andrew) Peake, Louise (John) Smorol and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, 4:00 – 8:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1 North State Road 7, Margate. Funeral Services will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, 12:00noon at Queen of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 1500 South State Road 7, North Lauderdale.
