Gloria Davis

Gloria is survived by her husband, Oswald Davis; children, Allison Davis, Karen Davis Torrence, and Sheldon Davis; siblings, Eileen Sandy, Doreen Duncan, Lynette Thom, and Lloyd Scott}. Gloria is preceded in death by {her father Henry Christian, her mother Alice Scott, and her brother Henry Christian.

Gloria was born on April 14, 1943 in Georgetown, Guyana to Alice Scott and Henry Christian. Gloria graduated from St. Thomas Moore in 1964. She married Oswald Davis, in 1967. After moving to New York City, Gloria began working for Clove Lake Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Over the course of eight years, the couple welcomed three children into their home and Gloria set about encouraging them to pursue higher education. Her children remember her as a strong and caring mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Her love and dedication to her family was unwavering and she instilled a spirit of resilience and determination in all three of her children.

Gloria was accomplished at hospitality and often hosted friends and family. Gloria was a witty individual who loved traveling and who was passionate about her family. She was an active and dedicated member of the Saint Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church.

A funeral service is scheduled for 6pm, December 8th at Kraeer Funeral Home} Father Lee Davis will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Gloria’s life. Flowers can be sent to Seasons Design Studio https://dignity.preferredflorist.com/login.php?from=account.php%3Faction%3D

Gloria Davis, age 79, of Coral Springs, Florida passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022.

A visitation for Gloria will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071. A graveside service will occur Friday, December 9, 2022 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at Bailey Memorial, 7801 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068.
