February 9, 1931 – December 26, 2022
Charles aka ‘Charlie’ was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised by his parents William and Catherine along with his twin Jimmy, brother William Jr., and sisters Joan, Jean and Eileen. Charlie served as a US Army sergeant in Germany from 1948-1952. Shortly thereafter, he met Catherine, the love of his life, at a Church Dance. They married on April 18, 1953 and raised 3 children, Charles Jr., Caren and Chris.
Family was most important and many special times were enjoyed skiing in the Poconos and summers in Wildwood, NJ. Moving to Coral Springs in 1972, Charlie worked in the construction industry. He was a talented craftsman in all he did!
Retiring in1996, he enjoyed cooking with his wife, baking bread, gardening and growing delicious tomatoes! Their neighbors, the Browns called them Nana and Poppy as they were and are “family”. Charlie and Catherine loved caring for Sarah, the Brown’s daughter - their “adopted” granddaughter.
Charlie had a keen sense of humor and usually had a joke or two ready to share. He is survived by his children, Caren, Chris and daughter in law, Diane. He outlived his son Charles Jr., baby Cathy and beloved wife Catherine. He Loved and was Loved by Many!
