He was born in Hollywood, FL at Memorial Hospital. Adam was a fun loving little boy who loved candy and cookies, especially Oreo’s. He started his education at La Petite Academy in Coral Springs.
Adam spent some of his formative years in England, where he went to Primary and Secondary school. This is where Adam developed his keen sense of fashion and love for sneakers. He had quite a collection of sports clothes and tracksuits. Adam loved British chocolate, especially Milk Bar and Milky Way. After graduating from Coconut Creek High School in 2010, he went to Broward College to study Criminal Justice and received his Associate’s Degree, all while working at Nordstrom. He later became a loss prevention officer for Nordstrom. Adam was perusing his degree at FAU School of Criminology and interning with Coral Springs Police Department.
You’d never find Adam shopping in Walmart, because Target was his store of choice. This preference was a source of many light hearted jokes between him and his family. He loved going to the gym, listening to music, and going to the beach. He had a wide range of interests; you could find him watching Impractical Jokers, Cops, or even Spongebob Squarepants. He had a great sense of humor and an infectious smile.
Adam is survived by his parents, Philip and Veta McCalla; siblings, Melissa, Tracey, and Ryan McCalla; daughter, Ava McCalla; nieces, Maya and Jasmine Deonarain; nephew, Nathan Deonarain; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Rupert Dwyer, Beverley Thomas, Helen English, Thelma Dwyer, Lynford Dwyer, Paulette Jeffrey, Michael Dwyer, Loverna Smith, Audley Dwyer, Lynora Abraham; Ionie Chung; Darrell McCalla, Derrick McCalla, Clive McCalla, Elaine McCalla Nichols, Avril McCalla, and Colin McCalla.
