I only just learned of Mary's passing.  Although I hadn't seen Mary or Bob since they moved from Minnesota, Mary never forgot my birthday or to remember me at Christmas.  She was so thoughtful in that way and loved maintaining old ties.  Bob and Mary were my parents' closest friends and part of a large circle of bowling enthusiasts.   We spent many fishing vacations and holidays together as well as Friday and Saturday nights, and they lived with us for a short time when they were between homes.  Lynn and I shared many sleep-overs.  I know how proud Mary was of her family, and I know she'll be missed deeply.

I have such fond memories of Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob.   I brought my mom to visit them in North Port Florida.  Aunt Mary had an infectious laugh and always an amusing story to tell.  
    She always amazed me with her vivid memory.  I wish that mine was as sharp as hers even as she aged. 
    When she a Bob began to have their mobility issues, I would visit them and we would enjoy a lasagna and salad that I would bring.  They got to keep the left overs.  
     Mary and Bob came to visit my dad several months before he passed.   All of the Carson siblings were there.  I was going to have them I over for a turkey dinner with all the sides.   I went to visit the family at my mom’s house for lunch and we talked for a couple of hours.  Everyone was concerned about my turkey.  I answered that I had set the timer on the oven to start the cooking.  Well, that did not turn out so well.  At 5 pm the turkey had not started to cook.  I served hot dogs.  For everyThanksgiving I got a call from Mary asking if my turkey eas really cooking.  We all had a lot of laughs about that incident. 
    I will remember that hot dog meal forever, Aunt Mary.  Thank you for all the good times and laughs.  I love you. O

Her Nephews Larry, Jimmy, and Steve and their wives , were so dear to her.

Other family , Ramonde Carson, her sister in law, Linda DiCenzo her Neice and her family were always spoken of so fondly.

We loved listening to stories about her family and she loved telling them!!

Aunt Mary (Shuda-Carson) was the daughter of our grandfather (Anthony “Tony” Shuda, Sr.), and the sister of our father (Anthony “Tony” Shuda, Jr).  She was family to our (Aunt Irene Briddle) and our mother (Dorothy L. Shuda), as well as to my brothers (James T. Shuda) and (Lawrence R. Shuda).

I remember the “early days” when Aunt Mary (and Uncle Bob) would visit our Peoria home with her daughter Lynn, for various holidays and special family occasions.  In turn, we would often visit her at her Minnesota home for those summer “fishing” vacations. 

It is with a great sense of sadness that we share with all of her extended family...  a tremendous feeling of loss and sorrow with the passing of our Aunt Mary Carson.

Grandma was the true rock of our family!! She was surrounded by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren who loved her beating measure and she loved them back just as much. I take comfort knowing that her, grandpa and mom have been reunited. I am not sure what life will be like without her…. She’s is already missed by us all so much.

We will miss aunt Mary.      All those holiday cards and phone call conversations for the last 50 years.    Years ago the thing to do was visit uncle Bob and Aunt Mary in Florida.     What great memories.     United back with Bob and Lynn Mary moves on to a new chapter in heaven.     RIP.     

I am saddened to learn of Mary’s passing. Though I had not seen her in many years, I fondly recall her good humor and positive spirit when she (and her late husband John) would visit our family in Massachusetts. Aunt Mary (as she was known to us) was our grandfather’s sister-in-law. 

A fun fact about Aunt Mary: she introduced me to my first mango as she and Uncle Johnny has recently returned from Hawaii where they developed a fondness for them. (Context: mangoes were not a popular fruit in New England in the late 1980s.) I love mangoes to this day!
