Joshua was born September 11, 1999 in Killeen, Texas to Jack Smith, Jr. and Larissa Smith.
He attended Copperas Cove High School where he played Varsity Football, graduating with the Class of 2018. Joshua would have graduated in the fall of 2022 from Texas State University in San Marcos.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, looking for fossils and spending time with family and friends. Joshua will be remembered for his charismatic and opinionated personality and his ability to make friends.
His paternal grandparents, Jack and Edna Smith and his Aunt and Uncle Karen Smith and Mike Smith, preceded Joshua in death.
He is survived by his Father, Jack Smith, Jr. of Copperas Cove; Mother, Larissa Smith of Copperas Cove; twin brother, Matthew Boyd Smith of Copperas Cove; Maternal Grandparents, Donlie and Linda McMullin of Copperas Cove; Aunts and Uncles, Jerry and Michelle McMullin, David and Cindy Smith, Thomas Smith, John and Kristine Holmen, Allen and Peggy Smith, Mark Smith all of Copperas Cove and numerous cousins, extended family members and friends.
The Smith Family will receive guest for a time of visitation from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2022 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022 in the Lea Ledger Auditorium at Copperas Cove High School. Interment services will follow in the Copperas Cove City Cemetery. A reception will occur Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 6:00 PM at VFW, 1506 Veterans Ave, Copperas Cove, Texas.
For those that desire the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Joshua.
Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Boyd Smith, Travis Lewis, Colton Majszak-Holt, Tanner Farmer, A.J. Doubleday, D.J. Dewald, Jacob Cramer and Trevor Troy.
