Barbara Ann Greene

Barbara Ann Lockart Greene, 72, of Copperas Cove, Texas passed away September 22, 2017 at her home in Copperas Cove. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, October 2, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Copperas Cove, Texas.Barbara was born on June 11, 1945 in Laurinburg, NC to the late Grace Harrington and James L. Currie.She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Greene, one sister Deloris Marva Hantour, and two brothers Elbert Lockart and John Henry Harrington.Barbara is survived by her husband of 47 years, William L. Greene, one daughter Monique Greene Tunstall of Burlington, NC, one grandson Julius Tunstall and one granddaughter, Tatiana Tunstall, two sisters, Martha Lee Harrington of Laurinburg, NC, and Elouise Murphy Lee Harrington of New Jersey, two brothers, Nathaniel Harrington of Laurinburg, NC and James Leon Currie of Virginia, one aunt, Atteane Harrington, one uncle, Roy Wilson both of Laurinburg, NC, six nieces and five nephews and several other family members and friends.Barbara attended Ellis Johnson in Laurinburg, NC where she graduated in 1964. Barbara later moved to New York City and later met William Greene and moved to Texas in 1975 where William and Barbara raised their children. Barbara worked at J&J Maintenance for 3 years and later started to work for Metroplex Hospital for 33 years. She retired in 2016. She also attended First Baptist Church for 20 years and worked with the mission. She will be missed by all who knew her.
