Mary Ann Preston

MaryAnn was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota to John and Katherine Gefre along with siblings Albert, Edward and Bernice.

She met Robert (Bob) Preston while working at Kessler’s Grocery Store in Aberdeen. They married August 17, 1957 and had 3 children, Janet, Peggy and Scott. Early in their marriage they moved numerous times before settling in Cherry Hill, NJ where they lived for 30 years. MaryAnn was a “stay at home "mom” during the children’s school years, a Brownie/Girl Scout Leader and chauffer to all the kid’s activities. After the High School years, she went back to work in retail sales.

In retirement, she and Bob moved to Satellite Beach, FL for 15 years where she enjoyed her craft group, watching space shuttle launches from her front yard and attending Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.

She and Bob moved to Irving, TX in 2014 to be closer to family.

MaryAnn is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bob, daughters Janet Berg and husband Joel, Peggy Cavalle and husband Bill, son Scott Preston and wife Tracy, granddaughter Jordan Preston, brother Albert and sister Bernice.

A family service will be held in May in Satellite Beach, FL.
