Survived by his wife of 54 years, Theresa; siblings (3): John, Mary, Reta; children (3): Bill, Melissa and Mary; grandchildren (7): Morgan, Jacob, Wyatt, Laci, Isaac, Gabby and Maya; son-in-law (2): Deric, Stuart; daughter-in-law (1): Anne.
Les grew up in Fulton New York and fondly reminisced about spending many wonderful years working on his grand-parents farm. After high school, he joined the US Navy and served during the Vietnam War. After his service, he would acquire a job as an electrical engineer at Sperry (Unisys) where he worked for 38 years. This job took his family all over the country with stops in Tennessee (Bristol), California (Fremont) and finally landing in Minnesota (Andover). Les enjoyed cooking, playing cards, coaching (baseball, basketball), fishing and later in life a passion for tennis. Les was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a long-standing member of Epiphany church where he enjoyed being an usher. He took such pride in hosting parties where all family and friends were ensured great food, spirits and a lifetime of memories.
Les and Theresa enthusiastically supported all their grandchildren’s activities and were significantly involved with their lives. You could always find him behind the baseball/softball backstop making sure the umpire was calling a good game. Les was very open to making new friends and generous with his money and time. He was one of a kind and will be missed by all the people he positively impacted in his life.
